In the Motu language, Loloata has a literal meaning created from the words "loloa" and "ta" which translates to "one hill."Loloata Island is about 2km long and only 400m wide. The island has great diving, and a chance to observe some of the world's greatest coral reefs and meet a myriad of marine animals in their natural habitat. I made this painting for my husband, Chris, who proposed to me on this beautiful Island in 2003. It was a great experience for both of us.

Carol graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts majoring in Advertising. While painting on her free time she worked as a Graphic Artist for MTV Asia in the Philippines, taught Expressive Arts at a Secondary School in Papua New Guinea and worked as a Layout artist for a Decal company and a Newspaper company in California where she now resides. Her love for travel is what inspires her to do art.
