Artist's Description

I grew up seeing this scene but only noticed it that day when I went back home to the Philippines in 2001 after being away from my country for a year. Only then that I really understood what a "developing country" means. I painted this because I was amazed to see how powerful 'innocence' could be. These children are contently hanging out in their small playground next to their house on the side of the road where busy people drive by.
